The first public candle-dipping event was held in Zurich city centre in 1969 as the result of a cultural initiative. Following this first event, an increasing number of Swiss municipalities and communes decided to hold similar events themselves in the run-up to Christmas, with the very special atmosphere that candle dipping creates.
This then laid the foundation for the development and sale of the necessary equipment and raw materials. Over the past few decades, other manufacturing techniques have been introduced in addition to candle dipping, and the product range has thus grown in size, become more sophisticated and assumed increasing importance for professional candle and soap-making.
